Inline Product Coding
Print product information, lot numbers, and date codes on paper and plastic bags on the production line.
Manufacturers printing production dates, lot or batch numbers, and expiration dates directly onto primary packaging — poly bags of mulch, cement, and food; medical bags; plastic tubes; and metal cans — so the product carries its own traceability record from the point of fill. Requirements vary from a simple Julian date on a filled bag to a multi-character lot code on a moving can line.

REA JET DOD (drop-on-demand) ink jet print heads can be mounted on moving carriages at bundling and wrapping stations. Vibration and dust resistant heads can print multiple lines of information. Stack multiple heads together for printing large logos and messages.
