Pannier Corporation equips converters and roll-good manufacturers to print directly on paper, film, and nonwoven webs as they move through production — at line speeds up to 700 feet per minute and without slowing the process down. Whether the substrate is kraft paper, treated polyethylene film, or nonwoven fabric, Pannier’s flexo and ink jet systems apply text, logos, and codes in-line, so identification becomes part of the manufacturing process instead of a separate step.

Marking on roll goods serves two purposes at once: it’s often the customer’s brand — a logo, name, or message that has to look clean and consistent roll after roll — and it’s the manufacturer’s own traceability record, tracking lot numbers, production dates, and specifications through coating, laminating, slitting, and shipping. Because roll goods move continuously, the marking system has to keep pace with the line, produce a crisp mark on porous, treated, or non-porous surfaces alike, and hold up through whatever downstream process — coating, lamination, exposure to moisture — comes next.

high-resolution brand printing

Converters printing customer names, brand logos, and product messaging directly onto paper, film, or nonwoven roll stock — often replacing a converting step that used to be outsourced or hand-applied. Requirements range from a single line of text on kraft paper to multi-line logos repeated every 24–50 inches across material running 250 to 700 feet per minute.

Pannier flexographic printers handle this in-line on porous stock, treated films, and non-porous surfaces, with ink systems suited to each — including water-based inks for film and specialty dark inks (rather than standard black) for some nonwoven materials.

Automatic Striping

A steady, unbroken stripe or line down the length of a roll — used for web-guiding registration lines, edge marking on materials like roofing underlayment and geotextiles, and color-coded lines that distinguish grade or product type at a glance. These marks have to stay solid and consistent at line speed, since a broken or wandering line defeats the purpose.

Pannier  stripe marking systems apply continuous lines from a fraction of an inch to several inches wide, in solid or repeated patterns, on paper, film, and composite/laminate roll stock.

Lot & Date Traceability Coding

Manufacturers coding rolls with lot numbers, production dates, and specification codes so material stays traceable through downstream coating, laminating, and slitting operations — and after it reaches the converting customer. This is typically a short, repeating code rather than a full logo, and often needs to integrate with existing production data systems.

Pannier ink jet printers apply codes in-line, at production speed, on paper, film, and nonwoven substrates.
