Chassis & Frame Marking

Automotive manufacturers permanently mark frames, chassis, castings, and structural components with VIN numbers, serial numbers, date codes, and 2D Data Matrix codes for traceability. These marks must remain readable after painting, electrocoating, and final assembly. However, shallow, inconsistent marks and hand-stamping methods become difficult to scan and read after downstream processing, leading to frustration, delays, and traceability issues.
