Automotive Assembly Bar Code Tracking Tags

An axle manufacturer needed a high performance tag to track assemblies as they move through the production process. They use Pannier high temperature metal tags which are tack welded onto the axle housing at the beginning of production. The tags are able to withstand high temperatures in subsequent operations such as welding and grinding. The bar code is scanned at each production cell to ensure that the axles are manufactured according to the specifications in the ERP system.
