A roofing manufacturer needed a way to mark defective sections of roll roofing material where the granules are not properly adhered to the asphalt coating. They chose an ST spray marking system to apply bold colored stripes on defective material so that it can be viewed from a distance. The marked material can be easily identified so that it can be separated and scrapped.

Pannier designed a PLC-controlled system to automatically adjust spray head operation to insure that the stripe is consistent width regardless of the line speed, which varies from 80 to 250 feet/minute.
