Pannier Corporation pioneered the bar
coded metal tag in the 1980's to meet the specialized identification needs
of steel manufacturers. Our Mark-Cleer™ Metal Tag Printers revolutionized the
identification of hot metals and they are now standard technology in the metal
producing and fabricating industries.
When bar codes and 2D data matrix codes are required for product traceability,
printed
metal tags are an ideal choice for long-term identification where paper
or plastic labels won’t survive.
Pannier offers two different printers to allow you the flexibility
of choosing the system most suitable for your application. Both units can accept
data from a keyboard, host system, or other source such as a scale or bar
code scanner.
PLUS3 Metal Tag Printer
This tabletop printer (shown above) uses a CO2 laser
to produce text, graphics, bar codes, and 2D data matrix codes on metal
tags. For low to medium volume applications, this simple and easy-to-use
printer is an economical choice for printing 3” wide tags up to 9” in length.
LT-21 Metal Tag Printer
Similar to the PLUS3, the LT-21 Metal Tag Printer (shown below) also uses a
CO2 laser. This ruggedly built printer is enclosed
in an industrial cabinet. The patented tag drive system enables the LT-21 to
keep pace with fast production requirements. Choose 3” or 3-1/2” wide tags up
to 8” long.
