Supreme-Safe Type Holders are designed with safety in mind.  These heavy-duty industrial holders are used for marking hot or cold metals and other large, hard materials. Each holder is custom made to handle your particular marking requirements.

Holder Styles

Style H — Hand-held holders are struck with a hammer to make the mark.

Handled Hammer Style — Holder features a handle for safety, and the holder is struck with a hammer to make the mark.

Axe Style — Holders that are swung like an axe (no hammer needed) to make the mark.

Shank Style — For use in a heavy press, these holders feature an integrated shank or a drilled and tapped hole for a separate shank.

Options

Typical character sizes are 1/4", 3/8", 5/16", 3/8", and 1/2". Other sizes available.

Holders can be made to accommodate one or multiple lines of type.

Holders are made as a solid piece or with replaceable striking heads and anvils to extend the life of the holder.

Handled Hammer Style and Axe Style holders are available with Style L or Style S heads.

Wooden handles are available in 14", 18", 30" and 36" lengths.

Type Retaining Methods

There are three options for holding type in these holders:  a cotter pin, a draw pin, or Pannier's special Roto-Pin.  Cotter and draw pins are simple and economical methods of holding type.  For easy and quick type changes, the Roto-Pin features a quick lever release to lock in type.
