This pneumatic stamping machine is designed for identification of hot slabs, billets, bars, flats and rods by applying a mark one character at a time. It is ideally suited for stamping multiple-character marks such as heat numbers, slab cut numbers, and product sizes. The stamper can be floor-mounted or mounted over a line.
Operation
The product data is entered into the stamper control computer. Individual character stamps are secured in a wheel that extends to the product to stamp each character of the information entered, one character at a time. Approximate cycle time is one character per second. After stamping is complete, the impact cylinder retracts and the stamper waits for the next sequence to begin.
Product Handling & Mounting
Certain products to be marked - such as small billets or cold products - need to be clamped into position before marking begins to absorb the impact of the marking wheel.
