Rotary Stamping Systems

  • Mark around or along the length of round and cylindrical parts
  • Mark text, serial numbers, 2D Data Matrix codes, and .plt drawings imported from CAD
  • Systems are custom-built to suit the items being marked

Rotary Stamping Systems allow automatic marking around the circumference or along the axis of round parts by rotating the part in sync with the stamping. Marking jobs are stored on PC for easy loading and maintenance.  Automatic date coding and serialization are standard features.  The software also allows information to be scanned from a bar code for error-free marking, and custom software can be written to enable marking information to be captured from a database or spreadsheet.

Rotary Fixtures

Three rotary fixture models are available for use with the T Series Programmable Stamper.  Each fixture uses a three-jaw, self-centering, manually-adjustable chuck to hold parts during marking.  An indexing mode is available for axial marking of multiple lines of information on cylindrical or hexed surfaces.

The light duty AR-1 can mark parts ranging in diameter from 0.177” (4.5mm) to 39.4” (1000mm) depending on the inertia of the part.  The maximum applicable load is 11 lb. (5 Kg) with a diameter of 2.4” (60mm).

The medium duty AR-4 can mark parts ranging in diameter from 0.177” (4.5mm) to 39.4” (1000mm) depending on the inertia of the part.  The maximum applicable load is 176.4 lb. (80 Kg) with a diameter of 7.9” (200mm).

The heavy duty AR-10 can mark longer parts than the AR-4, such as gas cylinders.  The drive system provides robust, high accuracy, and low backlash.  This fixture produces high torque from the double speed reduction belt drive while maintaining the accuracy of the stepper motor.

Also available are pneumatic fixtures, cradle rolls, and custom fixturing and bases. Let us design a system just right for your application.
